RollMaster 330 Dual LED

This project was designed for a fabric wholesaler specialising in curtain materials.

Request

At the time, we offered RollMaster tables with a maximum cutting width of 300 cm. The client asked us if we could make it wider, since she had started working with 320 cm wide rolls. She also wanted a second backlight window at the rear to spot material faults.

Solution

We had to redesign the cutting rail mounting system, which resulted in achieving longer cutter travel distance.

Additional LED backlight window at the rear also required changes in the construction. We modified the rear structure to fit it.

Enhanced Cutting Width

Cutting from 320 cm rolls became possible.

We optimised the design so the rail overhang is proportionally smaller than on narrower versions. This was a big advantage for the customer’s limited workspace.

Unwinding Options

The table features a front basket unwinder and a floor unwinder.

She also wanted to unwind directly from her existing rack. To enable this, we added a removable cover shelf — when placed over the basket, material feeds straight from the rack to the table.

Dual LED backlight

RollMaster can be expanded with a LED backlighting screen at the front table part.

In this one, we added the secondary LED panel in the main table, which helped to see the fabric faults with the limited ceiling light.

Final Result

We made it possible to cut from 320 cm wide rolls, which was a main request. Thanks to this, we added that size to our standard portfolio.

The dual LED system helped our client a well as us to add it to optional equipment of Flexi Table.

This is an example of how our customer’s ideas become our new products.
