Band knife blades are used in stationary band cutting machines. They are mounted on three wheels creating an endless blade loop which cuts continuously at high speed. Thanks to constant blade tension, cutting complex patterns through high material stacks is easier than with straight knives.

Smooth Blades

Convex Blades
While standard smooth blades are ideal for light fabrics, wavy blades work better for heavier materials and synthetics.
Convex blades reduce friction and prevent layers from melting and sticking together in heat-sensitive materials.
Concave Blades
Concave blades, also known as scalloped edge, have sharp protruding teeth that work like a saw.
This aggressive cutting method is best for hard textiles, dense foam or cardboard.
